Memorial Day Murph

Join us in honoring not just Murph, but all of America’s fallen military personnel. It’s not about fitness level; it’s about coming together to pay respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The workout consists of:

1-mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 squats
1-mile run

Partition the exercises as needed. If you have a twenty-pound vest or body armor, wear it!

Who is Murph?

This workout is in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”.

From here on it will be referred to as “Murph” in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted
nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it
is.

What is the cost?

It’s free! This event is our tribute to our fallen soldiers. Proceeds from food, beverage, and shirt sales will go to the Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

Do I have to do the workout?

No. Spectators, family, visitors – everyone is welcome to join, cheer on others, enjoy food, buy shirts, and simply be part of this special day.

What if I can’t do part or all the workout?

Don’t worry. Our coaching staff will provide modifications as needed.

What time does it start and end?

We’ll kick off with an “Opening Ceremony” at 7:20 am. The first group starts the workout at 7:30 am, with subsequent groups beginning every 30 minutes until around 10:30 am. Any updates to start times will be announced on Social Media. The event ends when everyone leaves.
